Not All The Terror In The World Is Muslim. But “99.44%” Is. Sort Of Like Ivory Snow

April 7, 2010

Maybe you remember Ivory Snow. Maybe you don’t. In any case, this is not about soap. It’s about murder, mass murder.

Benny Morris has written, for next week’s hard-copy edition of TNR (available in this space some days thereafter), a review of a book by a Kremlin diplomatic hack named Yevgeny Primakov. It is called Russia and the Arabs. Morris proves that even a mendacious writer sometimes inadvertently tells the truth. So what Primakov shows is that Moscow, under the boot of the Communists and of their less doctrinaire successors, financed, collaborated with, and fronted for Muslim terror.

The more research that comes out about the modern history of the Arab orbit and of the Muslim world, the more evidence we have of the cooperation of secular totalitarianism with these two phenomena.

The latest of the books in this regard is from Jeffrey Herf, a TNR contributor whose writings for us are almost always provocative, not to mention his book Nazi Propaganda for the Arab World. The Arabs during the Second World War learned tactic and ideology from the Reich. Soviet and Russian entanglement with Arab terror and Palestinian terror has been axiomatic for years. Anti-Semitism was a keystone of the three ideologies.

But now Islamic jihadists have continued their warfare against the Russian people, with 39 utter innocents killed in the Moscow train system, 12 in Dagestan, and two or three others elsewhere. These give the sense of an ongoing war against the civilian population. I believe it will continue.

Dmitri Medvedev has retaliated just in words for now. But he does promise “a harsher, crueler terror crackdown.” Still, we all feel a sense of fraternity with the citizens of greater Russia. They are today’s victims. But Russia has been complicit with so many of the world’s terror systems that it is not innocent. It cannot be.

And now back to my “99.44% pure” Muslim origins of terror. Against non-Muslims: the Philippines, Thailand, Nigeria, Sudan, Chechnya, India, Britain, Spain, Germany, Holland, Denmark, France, Egypt, the U.S., Israel. And against other Muslims: the Shi’a in Iraq (the most haunted and taunted Muslims in the world), Gaza, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Indonesia.

Ali Hassan al-Majid, notorious for commanding the use of weapons of mass destruction against civilians in Kurdistan in 1988, has been sentenced to death again. This time the death sentence was due to his role in the crushing of the Shi’ite after the Persian Gulf War in 1991.

Majid, Saddam Hussein’s cousin, attempted his own theatrics, but the judge would have no part of it:

Judge Khalifa said Mr. Majid was guilty of crimes against humanity. Mr. Majid remained calm, but Mr. Ani shouted: “I welcome death if it is for Iraq, for pan-Arabism and for the Baath. Down with the American and Persian occupation!”

The judge responded, “Shut up.”

The Iraqi Special Tribunal: A Lack of Objectivity Concerns the Victim Nation…

…neither the Arab judges nor the Kurdish judges can be impartial about past cases of ethnic conflict. An Arab judge cannot be impartial toward the Kurds, as the case is related to the Kurdish genocide committed by Arabs.

[…]

Mass killing of the Kurds was motivated by eliminating a non-Arab national group, while the killing of Arab groups was not occurred due to dissimilar nationality. This tribunal makes use of rules, such as rule number 7, article 1, from 1958, which deals with the crime of occupation of another Arab country. The Arabs involve every rule that is in their own interest. This is not the same as the Kurdish interest. For instance, the Kurds have suffered under Arabization since the establishment of the Iraqi state, and there are many episodes and documents proving this.

However, there is not a single article in the statute of the tribunal regarding this crime.

Arabization should have a clear definition.

Arabization can be seen as a type of ethnic cleansing with particular characteristics. Arabism is central for Arabization, for instance a cleansed territory of the targeted group settles only by Arabs; the victims in some areas are forcibly pushed to accept Arab national identity only, and so on. Article 12 from the statute concerns crimes against humanity, which includes crimes such as extermination, but this in itself cannot encompass the crime of Arabization. The text is vague, does not give a precise definition of ethnic cleansing, and does not sufficiently deal with the ethnic cleansing committed against the Kurds.

Although most of Hussein’s large-scale atrocities took place during the 1980s and early 1990s, his tenure was also characterized by day-to-day atrocities that attracted less notice. Wartime rhetoric regarding Hussein’s “rape rooms,” death by torture, decisions to slaughter the children of political enemies, and the casual machine-gunning of peaceful protesters accurately reflected the day-to-day policies of Saddam Hussein’s regime. Hussein was no misunderstood despotic “madman.” He was a monster, a butcher, a brutal tyrant, a genocidal racist–he was all of this, and more.

Non-Arab and/or non-Muslims in the “Arab” world [Racist Arabism and bigoted Islamism]

Non-Arab and/or non-Muslims in the “Arab” world [Racist Arabism and bigoted Islamism]

Non-Arab and/or non-Muslims in the “Arab” world

One key element missing from the discussion is the question of non-Arab and/or non-Muslims in the “Arab” world. The Arab nationalists have succeeded in establishing some 23 non-democratic, ethnically (Arab) and religiously (Islam) defined nation-states in over 1 million square miles of territory, often at the expense of non-Arabs, such as the Kurds (Muslims, non-Arabs), Assyrians (Christians, non-Arabs), Copts (Christians, non-Arabs), southern Sudanese (Christian and pagan non-Arabs), Maronite Lebanese (Christian and mostly identified with their Phoenician ancestors) and Mizrahi Jews. Arab nationalist ideology claims all this territory exclusively as “Arab” despite the legitimate claims of non-Arabs and/or non-Muslims to ancient homelands long ago arabized with the spread of Islam, often through conquest.

I believe that the Arab opposition to the existence of non-Arab, non-Muslim Israel is based on the ideological motivations which led to the persecution of non-Arab minorities. The Assyrians suffered massacre and expulsion by the Arab nationalists of Iraq in the 1920s and 1930s. The Kurds have been persecuted and have suffered terribly for their struggle to establish an independent Kurdistan (at the hands of the Turks and Iranians as well, but that is another story.)

Arab nationalist ideology, and its Islamicist couterpart, cannot and will not tolerate non-Arab and non-Islamic peoples organizing themselves into their own independent nation states. Indeed, I have seen on Islamicist web sites the goal of “regaining” Spain in the name of Islam.

I believe that we need to place Israel’s struggle to survive into this context. Any non-Arab/non-Islamic state in the region must rely on strength (political, moral, spiritual and military) if it wants to survive in the Middle East. In this context can we thus place Israel’s demand for security. It is not security for the sake of security, not seucirty for the sake of oppressing another people, but security for the sake of survival against two racist and exclusivist ideologies (Arabism and Islamicism) which have succeeded in repressing the just struggles for national self-determination of most non-Arab peoples in the Middle East.

When will Islamized Amanpour explain the west to HER Muslim bigoted world?

When will Islamized Amanpour explain the west to HER Muslim bigoted world?

April 6, 2009

Christiane Amanpour was all smiles, overly excited to CNN’s anchor’s announcement of Obama’s words to Turkey: “US is not, never will be at war with Islam”.
In an orchestrated “question” by CNN’s news anchor she was “asked” what US population “know” or feel about Islam, she said that 55% don’t know much about Islam and 48% view Islam unfavorably, all that – programmed leading up to her prepared statement that she is going to have a program about “educating Americans on Islam” – so called “documentary.
As you may recall, it was this C. Amanpour who in a “God’s warriors” series has put it all in one basket: Jihadi fascists who attempt to rule the entire world under oppressive Caliphate, with radical Christians and with radical Zionists.

A very huge error of omission was of course that current Turkey’s elected party is a radical Islamic one :

(Erdogan’s Islamist party wins Turkey’s election – Telegraph Erdogan’s Islamist party wins Turkey’s election … The election pitted the AKP, with its Islamic roots, against a secular and nationalist opposition, …

A few questions to “objective” Islamized Christianne Amanpour:

Will she mention Muhammad’s massacre of the NATIVE Jews of Saudi Arabia just because they refused to “accept” Muhammad as a “prophet’?

Will she mention the violence Muhammad has led on all “non-believers’, Christians or others?

Will she mention the Islamic genocide by Turkey on Armenians and on Greek Christians at the turn of the century?

Will she mention US’ Thomas Jefferson’s fight against Islamic terrorists of Barbary Pirates?

Will she mention the massacres by Muslims on Jews in recent history prior to the re-establishment of Israel, like 1929 Hebron 1941 Farhud in Iraq, both by the Arab Muslim leader: Haj Amin Al Husseini?

Will she mention that anti western, or anti all non-Muslims: Osama Bin Laden is a “hero” in mainstream Islam today?

Will she mention that it was Jimmy Carter who pushed for the motions that later on brought the radical Ayatollah Hummeini Islamic regime?

Will she explain that the Ayattollah’s fruit: Islamic Hitler Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (who “denies” the holocaust in order to commit a second, to “wipe out” 6,000,000 Jews of Israel) sees himself as the Muslim apocalyptic Messiah the “Mehdi” and his global army Hezbollah in: Lebanon, Somalia, Iraq, and even reaching our southern border with its connection to drug cartels (drugging Jihad)?

Last nut not least, When is CNN in Arabic going to explain Christianity and Judaism to the bigoted Arab Muslim world, is that not the most important thing to do… for world peace?

Death toll hits 400 in Nigerian clashes – Africa, World – The …Dec 1, 2008 … Residents took more bodies to the main mosque in the Nigerian city of Jos … The latest clashes between gangs of Muslim Hausas and mostly Christian youths began early on Friday and were provoked after news spread that the ANPP party candidate backed by Hausas had lost the race to the ruling PDP. “The PDP provided an all-Christian ticket. They started the trouble because they couldn’t win,” said Samaila Abdullahi Mohammed, a spokesman for the imam at the main mosque. Official results showed the PDP candidate won the vote but his swearing-in, due today, has been postponed.
Nigeria’s 140 million people are roughly split equally between Muslims and Christians and the two communities generally live peacefully side by side. Displaced people from both religions are sheltering together in impromptu camps around Jos.
But tensions in the country’s “Middle Belt” run deeply, rooted in resentment from indigenous minority groups, mostly Christian or animist, towards migrants and settlers from the Hausa-speaking Muslim north.

Chanting Allahu Akbar, they wreak destruction in Athens

Chanting Allahu Akbar, they wreak destruction in Athens

ATHENS, Greece – Gangs of youths smashed their way through central Athens, Thessaloniki and other Greek cities into the early hours Tuesday, torching stores, buildings and cars in a third day of mayhem after the fatal police shooting of a teenager.

In the country’s worst rioting in decades, dozens of shops, banks and luxury hotels had their windows smashed as youths fought running battles with riot police. Black smoke rose above the city center, mingling with clouds of tear gas. Broken glass littered the streets.

Hundreds of high school and university students joined self-styled anarchists in throwing everything from fruit and coins to rocks and Molotov cocktails at police and attacked police stations throughout the day. Police said some rioters were armed with crossbows, knives and swords.

“Cops! Pigs! Murderers!” protesters screamed at riot police.

Police said early Tuesday that 89 people had been arrested in Athensfor attacking police officers, vandalism and looting and 79 more were being questioned about possible involvement in the rioting. The fire service said it responded to more than 200 blazes in central Athens on Monday, about half of them in buildings and the rest in cars and trash bins used as barricades.

Greek police have clashed with hundreds of migrants waiting to submit asylum applications in Athens.
A riot broke out after one would be refugee plunged into a canal in exactly the same place where another asylum seeker was killed earlier this year.
Community leaders and politicians are warning that Athens inner city is at risk of becoming a racial battleground and are appealing for European assistance to defuse rising tension.
This year, Greece, has attracted a record 80 thousand illegal immigrants, but has been criticized by Europe for failing to help asylum seekers.

Violence, Riots in Greece – Islamic Immigration – Eurabia

Riots in Greece – Islamic Immigration – Eurabia

A rising tide of (Muslims) migrants unsettles Athens

By Niki Kitsantonis Published: October 2, 2008
ATHENS: About 80,000 migrants have traveled to Greece this year and decided to stay illegally, according to the authorities, who say the country can no longer handle the task of guarding the European Union’s southeast flank.

While initial problems with the flood of migrants from Africa and the Middle East who are desperate to enter Europe centered on the Aegean islands, migrants are now wreaking havoc in the capital.

The historic center of Athens has been riven by several street battles in recent months, involving what the police characterize as rival groups, often involved in dealing drugs, from Afghanistan, Iraq and war-torn African countries wielding swords, axes and machetes.

After 11 people were hurt in one such brawl in late August, the police began 24-hour patrolling of the area. Store owners and residents are leaving the busy central shopping and restaurant district.

According to a residents’ group, dozens of people renting in the area have left their homes in the past year, and several stores have closed, chiefly small but long-established neighborhood conveniences like bakeries, hardware stores or delicatessens.

“People are scared and depressed, it’s getting worse and worse,” said Vassiliki Nikolakopoulou of the group, Panathinaia.

The top policy adviser for immigration issues at the Interior Ministry, which also oversees public order, blames the influx of about 80,000 migrants this year.

“Because of this phenomenon, we see more and more immigrants in central Athens trying to survive, often through illicit activities,” the official, Patroklos Georgiadis, said in a telephone interview. “This unpleasant situation – for the migrants and for us as an EU country – has become unbearable.”

Georgiadis said that Greece supported the stricter line on immigration being promoted by the bloc’s French presidency. “There will not be another wave of legalization of immigrants in Greece in the near future,” Georgiadis said, referring to the three programs that have granted work and residence permits to some 500,000 migrants, most of them undocumented foreigners – at least half from Albania – since 1997.

The unrest in Athens has triggered a backlash from the far-right party Laos, whose popularity has jumped to 5.4 percent in opinion polls from 3.5 percent when it entered Parliament a year ago.

“The city center has been taken hostage by gangs of illegal immigrants with knives – isn’t it about time we asked ourselves if we have too many of them?” a Laos legislator, Antonis Georgiadis, said during a recent television debate. He is not related to the immigration official.

Although some on the Greek left have warned against demonizing migrants, the Athens prefect, Yiannis Sgouros, who belongs to the main opposition Socialist party, Pasok, refers to an “explosive problem” in the heart of the capital, where thousands of migrants living in cheap hotels and derelict houses struggle to find work.

“Illegal immigrants are becoming pawns to local drug barons and are forming gangs,” Sgouros wrote last week in a letter to Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis. He added: “Something has to change or the area will become an arena for race clashes and gang wars.”

Thomas Hammarberg, a Swede who is human rights commissioner at the Council of Europe, has criticized Greece and other EU states for “criminalizing the irregular entry and presence of migrants as part of a policy of so-called migration management.”

“Political decision-makers should not lose the human rights perspective in migration,” Hammarberg wrote in an e-mail message when asked to comment for this article. “Migrants coming from war-torn states should be given refuge.”

The government says that Greece grants protection to all refugees, as long as their status can be proven. But UN refugee agency statistics show that Greece approves less than one percent of asylum applications, compared with a European Union average of 20 percent.

According to minority groups, the treatment of migrants from war-torn states as “illegals” rather than refugees requiring protection forces them to eke out a life on the fringes of society.

“Most don’t get asylum or social support and have to find other ways to survive,” Adam Ziat, leader of the Union of Sudanese Refugees, said in a dingy café behind central Omonia Square that serves as his office.

According to Ahmed Mowias, coordinator of the Greek Migrants’ Forum, newly-arrived refugees from conflict zones are being exploited by rackets run by Nigerians, Moroccans and Algerians established in the area for many years. “Refugees are the smallest links in the dealing chain,” Mowias, a longtime resident of Athens who is from Sudan, said.

Police figures show that most immigrants arrested on drug-related charges in central Athens this year were from war-torn states like Sudan, Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan

Riots break out in two Greek cities after teenager killed in …7 Dec 2008 Now just because I already know the Greeks have had massive problems with pissed off muslim immigrants doesn’t mean that I think they are solely responsible but they are participating and in large numbers.

http://doctorbulldog.wordpress.com/2008/12/07/riots-break-out-in-two-greek-cities-after-teenager-killed-in-police-shooting/

Okay, so from BBC and AFP, and other news sources, I am not seeing the word “Muslim” or “Islam” being used here. The cops shoot and kill a youngster who was with a large crowd of youths wearing masks throwing rocks at them. Then, there are breakouts of riots by youths. Sounds like Islam to me. Kind of like if they walked into a church and found a lot of people praying and the church had a cross on it, sounds like Christian. But, can the media silence really be this fanatic on the issue? After all, the Islam connection is being mentioned elsewhere, with these events… yet doing a google news search with the words ‘Greek’ and ‘Islam’ is showing up nothing. Could it be these are far leftists? There are over a thousand stories on the issue.

The evil is called Islamism or Islamofascism A Date that will live in Infamy
By Alan Caruba Sunday, December 7, 2008
December 7, 1941, “A date that will live infamy” is a fading memory for those alive at the time and most certainly for those born since that day. For most Americans I suspect it is just a date they may have read about in a high school history book or seen dramatized in documentaries or films. It was, if you are still trying to recall its significance, the day the Empire of Japan attacked the U.S. fleet in Pearl Harbor. It was the date that Franklin Delano Roosevelt referred to in his speech to Congress calling for a Declaration of War against, not only Japan, but the Nazi regime and its Axis partner, Italy. It was the date when the term World War took on a whole new meaning beyond the WWI trenches in France.
In Hawaii, when I rode out to visit the USS Arizona memorial in Pearl Harbor, the thing I noticed was that I was sharing the ferry with dozens of Japanese tourists. It had never occurred to me that it was, of course, part of their history as well. I recall their pausing before the wall with the names of the sailors still entombed below to offer prayers for them. That is what peace is all about. The cliché is that those who do not learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them. It is a cliché because it is true. http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/6779
