Racist Arabism & fascist Islamism: Anti-Copt

Racist Arabism & fascist Islamism: Anti-Copt

The word Copt is an English word taken from the Arabic word Gibt or Gypt. The Arabs after their conquest of Egypt in 641 A.D. called the indigenous population of Egypt as Gypt from the Greek word Egyptos or Egypt. The Greek word Egyptos came from the ancient Egyptian words Ha-Ka-Ptah… The word Copt or Coptic simply means Egyptian, however the Muslim population of Egypt calls themselves Arabs. In contemporary usage, the word Copt or Coptic refers to the Christian population of Egypt. The Arab’s oppression led the Copts to several rebellions, , Coptic: an Afro-Asian language descended from ancient Egypt, and spoken by the Copts.

During the rise of pan-Arab nationalism in the 1950s and 1960s, the economically prosperous Copts, who then represented 20 percent of the population but held more than 50 percent of the nations’s wealth, saw their businesses and factories nationalized under the socialist government of Gamal Abdel Nasser. Many of them left as a result.

Cairo’s poor Copts are known as “zabaleen”, an Arabic name for garbage man. In Cairo there is an area with the same name where those Copts are living together with the garbage that has been collected. Copts reached this level of poverty due to the regime ruling the country in the past sixty years.

From early writings, many medieval Arab writers, tended to include unsubstantiated and racist negative commentaries about the Copts. A Copt — i.e. a descendant of Egypt’s now subjugated, ancient, pre-Arab Christian people

In a statement by ‘copts-united’ it decries: discrimination takes place through security harassment and media campaigns against Shiites, Copts and Bahais…

Critics argue that a Pan Arabist will always suppor Arab unity and “Islam” at the expense of non-Arab and non-Moslem peoples. one would direct and manipulate the Western taste for self criticism, and all that does is deflect the world’s attention from Arab and Moslem atrocities committed against Christians, Kurds, Jews, Israelis, Coptic Christians, non-Arab Sudanese, etc.

Though, current actively Anti Copt attacks stems more often from Islamism, especially by Islamic groups , and persecution comes often even from Egypt’s government. , Egyptian Reformist Thinker Tarek Heggy: ‘Egyptian Copts are Oppressed, Oppressed, Oppressed’

Racial Arabization of Copt

From a Lecture Delivered by a Coptic Bishop In Hudson Institute, Washington (July, 2008) entitled: “The Experience of the Middle East’s largest Christian community during a time of rising Islamization”, where he talked about how the Arab invasion of Egypt in 639 A.D. has altered the identity of Egypt through Arabization and forced conversion to Islam, and the lasting impact on the Christian minority in Egypt. He said, “The Copts have been always focused on Egypt; it is our identity, it is our nation, it is our land, it is our language, it is our culture. But when some of the Egyptians converted to Islam, their focus changed away from looking to their own [language and culture]. They started to look at the Arabians, and Arabia became the main focus,” adding that, “if you come to a Coptic person and tell him that he’s an Arab, that’s offensive., reemphasizing: We are not Arabs, we are Egyptians. Declaring: “I am very happy to be an Egyptian and I would not accept being an “Arab” because ethnically I am not.” The Bishop went on to say, “that means shifting the identity of the nation, to belong to Arabism and to the widespread Arabic area …and this is a big dilemma for the Copts who kept their Christianity, or, I rather say, that they kept their identity as Egyptians [who have] their own culture, that of old and real original Egypt trying to keep it, The process of Arabization and Islamization are still actively working till now upon Copts, The Bishop argued that the Egyptian culture has been taken from the Copts and attributed to the Arabs, that the process of Islamization is still on-going, and that the Christian child has “to study the history of the victorious Islamic invaders, which means that as a little kid you have to praise the Arabic troops that came to your country.” … , like Assyrians, Armenians & Jews, the Copts are of the very few middle eastern indigenous communities to be surviving the Arabs/Muslims’ forcible assimilation of non-Arabs, Non-Muslims.

‘No-go’ Bishop defends comments

The Bishop of Rochester has received death threats

A Church of England bishop who claimed Islamic extremism has made some places no-go areas for non-Muslims insists he was right to speak out on the issue.

The Bishop of Rochester, the Rt Rev Dr Michael Nazir-Ali raised the issue last month in a Sunday Telegraph interview.

Now in a follow-up interview with the same newspaper, he accuses church leaders of not confronting the matter.

“The issue had to be raised. There are times when Christian leaders have to speak out. It’s my duty,” he says.

‘Spiritual leaders’

Since making the comments in January he has received threats against himself and his family. Dr Nazir-Ali and his family are now under police protection.

In his latest interview, he insists his remarks were “based on evidence” and have been “strengthened as a result of overwhelming correspondence”.

Do the British people really want to lose that rooting in the Christian faith that has given them everything they cherish?

Rt Rev Dr Michael Nazir-Ali

He argues that a “spiritual and moral vacuum” has occurred in Britain over the past half-century.

Unless Christianity fills that void, he adds, something else may take its place – “and that could be Islam”.

“Do the British people really want to lose that rooting in the Christian faith that has given them everything they cherish – art, literature, architecture, institutions, the monarchy, their value system, their laws?”

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, subsequently faced intense criticism after he said that the adoption of sharia law in the UK was “unavoidable”.

But Dr Nazir-Ali tells the Sunday Telegraph that he strongly rejects this analysis.

“People of every faith should be free within the law to follow what their spiritual leaders direct them to, but that’s very different saying their structures should replace that of the English legal system because there would be conflicts,” he says.

He was born in Pakistan and has both a Christian and Muslim family background.

Exposting the ‘Islamic State Apartheid’

Exposting the ‘Islamic State Apartheid’
http://www.islamicstateapartheid.com

Welcome to IslamicStateApartheid.com
This organization has recently been founded by a group of York University students from different races and backgrounds who are disgusted by the oppression and apartheid taking place all over Islamic States.
Our goal is to expose Islamic State Apartheid and to begin the liberation of the oppressed!
The American Heritage Dictionary defines apartheid as:
A policy or practice of separating or segregating groups
Islamic State Apartheid can be divided into four categories:
1: Gender
apartheid
2: Sexual Apartheid
3: Religious Apartheid
4: Political
Apartheid
In Islamic states, women are separated from the same class as men- can’t even leave their own homes without male relatives.
In Islamic states, gays are separated from society if discovered….and most likely killed. In Islamic states, other religions are segregated and cannot attain the same rights that the state grants to the Islamic religion. In Sudan, the genocide against the Christian population is being condoned by the government of this Islamic state.
In Islamic States, people who speak out against the state are separated and segregated from the rest of society and imprisoned.
All of the above is APARTHEID! If you do not agree then you are denying the oppression of millions of these people.
BUT WHAT CAN I DO YOU ASK…
1) Read this website and make yourself more knowledgeable about the apartheid practices taking place in Islamic states!
2) Sign up for our mailing list to find out about our events in your city or schools!
3) Buy cool merchandise from our store! All proceeds go to executing campaigns!
4) Donate money to our cause! We need $ to keep up the fight!
5) Check out our resources, links, and sponsors!
6) TELL YOUR FRIENDS!

Donal Blaney: I’m still calling it Islamofascism

February 11, 2008

(Donal Blaney:) I’m still calling it Islamofascism

Last night I debated Mohammed Shafiq from the Ramadan Foundation on BBC Radio Five Live. The topic was Jacqui Smith’s rebranding of Islamic Terrorism as “anti-Islamic activity”. I naturally decried this politically correct example of Orwellian Newspeak.

Mr Shafiq – who chose to defend the hateful Hizb-ut-Tahrir and the extremist cleric Yusuf Al-Qaradawi during our debate – also failed to condemn Hamas or Hezbollah. When I asked him if they were terrorists because they killed innocent people (which, in his attempt to sound moderate, he argued was what terrorists did) he responded by whining about Israel being a state sponsor of terrorism. It’s this kind of evasive moral equivalence that makes it so hard to take protestations of moderation from self-proclaimed Islamic spokesmen seriously.

The debate unfortunately moved away from the specific topic of “anti-Islamic activity” into a wider debate about integration. I argued that Trevor Phillips and Bishop Nazir-Ali were right to decry multiculturalism, cultural apartheid and ghettoisation. Mr Shafiq felt that ALL muslims were victimised and viewing in a hostile manner by wider British society and the use of phrases such as Islamic Terrorism or even Islamism contributed to that.

I cannot help but feel that Mohammed Shafiq, who seems to have encounted some considerable difficulties with his own LibDem leadership this past month, is a far from persuasive or moderate voice for his cause. Most of us are intelligent enough to realise that Islamic Terrorism is not the same thing as the peaceful practice of Islam. Most muslims are not terrorists and most thoroughly oppose terrorism.

If groups like the Ramadan Foundation spent less time wallowing in victim status and whipping up young muslim men into a fervour of bitterness, victimhood and revenge and instead concentrated on finding ways to promote integration rather than cultural apartheid, we would all be better off – muslims and non-muslims alike.

The Hajj: Terrorism Potential Abounds

By Fred Burton and Scott Stewart

Courtesy of Strategic Forecasting

More than 2 million Muslims from around the world are expected to travel to Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj, that annual pilgrimage to Mecca that runs this year Dec. 18-21.

Because of the history of violence during the Hajj — some of it extreme — Saudi officials step up security during the period, and last week they concluded what they called the country’s largest-ever anti-terrorism security sweep — an operation that resulted in the arrest of more than 200 suspected al Qaeda militants. Riyadh said the operation was intended as a warning to militants who would seek to abuse the event and disturb the pilgrims. Because of past debacles during the Hajj, the Saudi government nowadays can be expected to deal with any militant activity quickly and harshly.

December 17, 2007

Islamofascism – Islamic Apartheid Egypt

Muslim Rioters Destroy Christian Stores in Egypt By Sze Leng Chan Christian Post Correspondent Mon, Dec. 17 2007 10:48 AM ETCoptic Christian shops were burned and attacked by an angry mob of Muslims in the Egyptian city of Isna, south of Cairo, early Sunday morning.

At least 13 shops were destroyed and the windows of a church damaged, according international news agencies. Although the motivation behind the destruction remains unclear, Reuters claimed the riot started after a Muslim girl was suspected of having sexual relations with two Christian boys.

This was followed by another report that a Muslim woman had her veil forcefully removed by two Coptic Christians in a car parking lot on Saturday, reported the Canadian Press.

Currently, police have upgraded security and imposed a curfew on the town.

Coptic Christians account for 10 percent of the total population of Egypt and often face persecution from the Egyptian government. They claim that their rights in particular are being curtailed through requirements such as needing a license to build a church whereas Muslims can build mosques anywhere as they please.

Arab racism must go

December 13, 2007

Arab racism must go

There will be no peace around here before Arabs view Jews as human beings

Jackie Levy Published:  12.03.07,
Despite all the ceremonial declarations uttered in Annapolis, my attention was drawn to a small story about the organizers tasked with planning the seating arrangements. As those were peace talks, and as all of us want peace, the organizers were warned about the need to ensure that no Syrian or Saudi official unintentionally encounters some Zionist pest.

This was indeed a large venue, but still, people (just like monkeys) sometimes have to go to the bathroom or wash their hands. In short, they may have to pass through a narrow corridor where, you never know, you may encounter one of those – well, here the speaker is supposed to venomously utter the word: “Zionist.”
Syria’s motives for attending the conference were quite clear. They came to score points and extricate themselves, as much as is possible, out of the axis of evil. In short, they came because of Syrian issues – all the rest didn’t quite interest them, and it was not easy for them as it is. But to bump into an Israeli?! A Jew! Face to face, with no Condoleezza or a sea of officials around. Just you and I. Now that’s way too much, being forced to exchange glances or even mumble something. This is where we draw the line.
After all, Arabs are honorable people, and the Israelis, on top of all the other trouble, have this bad habit of using such incidents in order to suddenly show friendliness, utter some kind of silly joke, and then tell everyone about it. Years after Annapolis, some Israeli minister or advisor could write in his memoirs how he made a quick comment to the Syrian official about the crappy American coffee, and yes, he thinks he saw a hint of a smile on the Syrian’s face – for a moment there, the Israeli will say, we were able to overcome the raging conflict and just be two men, Khaled and I, yearning for some good coffee.

The end of the story is that it was not easy at all to arrange the chairs. Sophisticated algorithms were utilized and multifaceted maneuvers previously only known in Astronomy were used, so that under no circumstances would an Arab and a Jew come in contact or some share kind of proximity that could hurt the feelings of the nation.

Our enemies are racist
Simply put, our enemies, among other things, are quite racist. As opposed to some stigmas, it turns out that arrogance is not an Israeli monopoly. It’s amazing how the Arab world managed to convince the West that the racist hatred is merely legitimate religious sensitivity that must be taken into consideration.
We should also take a moment to consider the fact that for us these things always sound like a silly joke. We treat it the same way we ridicule the Arab refusal to compete against Israeli athletes. None of us, with the exception of the margins of the far Right, have a problem meeting an Arab, shaking his hand, or showing sympathy for him.
The thing is, on their side it’s an absolutely serious matter. It’s hard to believe that anyone in the Arab media was joking about the seating arrangements.

For years we’ve been reprimanding ourselves over our attitude to Arabs and our racist jokes. Yet while we were busy reprimanding, we almost failed to notice that something changed around here. When was the last time you heard a derogatory term like “towel head” being used seriously, without any sarcasm? When was the last time an Israeli film featured an Arab character that was less than divine?
Meanwhile, the exact opposite is happening on the other side. And no, we’re not talking about a minor issue. Even if all the roadblocks will be removed, there will be no peace around here as long as Muslim Arabs don’t view Jews as human beings.

The very APARTHEID bastion of the world, otherwise known as the ‘Islamic world’, or the totalitarian dictatorships inc. where no one is ever equal there, not women, not one class to the other, not one minority has any decent rights, but persecuted in the regular Arab racism’s supremacy & Islamic apartheid, or Islamo fascism.

In order to divert attention from the real criminals of apartheid in this world [or to disperse their populations’ resentment of the oppressive regimes], and much much worse then that [to say the least], they, in their collective hatred & Apartheid motivation against the ‘non Arab’ the ‘non Muslim’ entity AKA Israel, to deny it’s right to exist, have come up with a myth about “apartheid in Israel”, what it actually means is that if democratic & free Israel dares to defend it’s self from a Racist Arab terrorist it is doomed to be branded as an “apartheid” system.

The sad part is of course that some have been bought by Arab oil money like Jimmy Carter, but the world should not let the magic sand cover the Arabian monsters including those “freedom fighters” fascists in Gaza that oppress Christians or those “moderate” ‘Palestinians’ that try to ethnic cleanse all Jews from the land, and so far there’s not one Jewish family under “moderate” fascist ‘palestine’.

The discourse coming out of the Arab and Islamic region is a disgrace,” Khalil argued. “In Darfur and south Sudan, severe human rights violations occur — ethnic cleansing, the murder of millions and rape. Yet no one but the West exposes what is happening in south Sudan and Darfur. … It is the West that attacked Serbia. It is the West that established the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. It is the West that protects the independence of Kosovo.”

Hamas, Teddy Bears in Sudan and the Muslim Brotherhood  Douglas Farah

There are two places where the Muslim Brotherhood exercises governmental power-Sudan and the Palestinian territories. That is, where it controls the levers of the state. It seems to me it is worth looking at these states to see how the Brotherhood would govern if given the chance, and to see the real agenda of the organization that claims to represent moderate, modernizing and tolerant interpretations of Islam.

For an excellent summary of why the Muslim Brotherhood is such an important topic, see this new paper by [http://www.futureofmuslimworld.com/research/pubID.72/pub_detail.asp#%22] Hillel Fradkin of the Hudson Institute.

EU rights champion urges Europe to act on Darfur
Tue 4 Dec 2007, 17:44 GMT

[-] Text [+] By David Brunnstrom

BRUSSELS, Dec 4 (Reuters) – The winner of the European Union’s top human rights prize demanded on Tuesday that the bloc take a more active role in resolving the Darfur crisis, saying it could not simply stand by during “genocide”.

Speaking before an EU-Africa summit this weekend, Sudanese lawyer Salih Mahmoud Osman called on the EU to commit troops for a Darfur peace force and help bring rights abusers to justice.

“Europe has always been talking tough about the policies of the government of Sudan, but we don’t see acts,” he told a news briefing in Brussels. “Europe is confused, it is divided on the issue of Darfur. The EU hasn’t any unified political will.”

International experts estimate 200,000 people have been killed and 2.5 million uprooted in Darfur since mostly non-Arabs took up arms in early 2003 accusing Khartoum of neglect. Khartoum says 9,000 have died.

,b>FARROW ATTACKS SUDAN’S ‘CRUEL’ LEADERS  2007-12-04…

Actress MIA FARROW has blasted Sudanese leaders for jailing a British schoolteacher accused of blasphemy, calling their treatment of her a typical act of “palpable insanity and cruelty”.
The UNICEF goodwill ambassador hopes the imprisonment of Gillian Gibbons who was incarcerated for allowing her pupils to name a teddy bear Muhammad will highlight the tyrannical control the downtrodden people of Darfur are forced to live under and, in turn, prompt Westerners to help them.
However, Farrow – who was in London on Sunday (02Dec07) to launch new campaign Fund4Darfur – is outraged that Gibbons’ plight grabbed the headlines when the bigger issues facing the war-ravaged folk of Darfur are still being ignored by the media.
She said, “One white woman in peril with a teddy bear has captured more media attention than the past three years of our brothers and sisters in the Darfur region.
“This is the first genocide of the 21st century and the one genocide that is ongoing as we speak. We have ,b>a regime that launched a military campaign on an unarmed population for no other reason than that they are not Arab.” Fund4Darfur will aid the survivors of the fighting between Sudan’s government and Darfur’s rebels, who have been at war for four years, resulting in 200,000 casualties and 2.5 million being forced from their homes.

TV Review: HBO – Sand And Sorrow
December 3rd, 2007 by Simon Barrett
Genocide, it’s just a word, it’s a word that you read in history books. But what does it really mean? Well, if you want to get rid of weeds in your lawn you use a herbicide, if ants are invading your house you likely will use a pesticide. You have probably noticed the use of the word ending ‘cide’. There are lots of words that end with ‘cide’ and I can not think of a single one that is good! A little bit of research reveals that ‘cide’ comes from Latin, and in it’s basic form, it means ‘to kill’. Genocide is the systematic removal of a people, and genocide is what is happening in the Sudan right now.

HBO are definitely making a name for themselves in the documentary world, they are willing to take on projects that the other networks turn a blind eye to. Sand And Sorrow takes a very long hard look at the African country of Sudan, more specifically the Darfur region and the genocide that has been taking place.

Without doubt this is one of the worlds poorest regions, with few natural resources, and no strategic geographic location, no-one seems to want to help the people. I may be cynical, but I am sure that if Darfur had oil, the world powers would be breaking their necks to help.

Sand And Sorrow explores what is happening in Darfur, and the findings are not good. This is not about religion, everyone is Muslim, this is about Arab versus Non Arab. The Arab led government in Khartoum is systematically killing the non-arab population of Darfur, moving village by village the militia are killing and raping their way through the region. It is estimated by some that the number of dead exceeds 400,000.

This is must see TV, produced and narrated by George Clooney, this is both a disturbing and frighting look at a situation that we, as decent people should not allow. Sand And Sorrow pulls no punches and the footage that is used is horrific. It not only shows the current status of the Sudan but explores the history and the West’s apparent apathy toward the problem. The US comes out of this in a very poor light, because  Khartoum is on board with the ‘War on Terror’ the US is loath to intervene, the other world body that could help is the UN, but they are portrayed as a toothless Bulldog, growling and snarling, but unable to act for fear of veto by China or Russia.

This is indeed a very sad situation.

I am involved on the fringes of the education system here in Canada, and one of the groups I work with is the Immigrant Youth Organization, these are primarily young people who are refugees, many of who are from the Sudan. I had noticed how reticent they were to discuss their previous lives, through Sand And Sorrow I now understand why. They have lived through a nightmare that is unbelievably shocking.

Sand And Sorrow premiers December the 6th at 8pm on HBO. There is an accompanying web site which contains some interesting background, and a short trailer. If you cannot receive HBO or cannot make the airing you will be able to watch it in its entirety online between December 7th and 9th. After Rwanda I was convinced that the world had learned a lesson, but The Sudan is living proof that we have not.

Darfur is atop Don Cheadle’s agenda
Dec 2, 2007
…Cheadle knows the Navy origins of that phrase, “not on my watch,” the idea being that “if something bad happens while I’m on duty, I’m responsible.” He wants to be responsible, and he’s willing to do the lobbying and legwork to put pressure on the Arab government of Sudan to stop burning African, non-Muslim Sudanese out of their homes and villages.
